Nicolas Mermet

Nicolas is the General Manager of 2016 Main and also oversees Sidecar, a craft cocktail catering company. He serves as the primary point of contact at the venue.

Kevin Mouhot

Kevin is the General Manager of Westport Cafe. He is also involved in creating the cocktail program at 2016 Main for our public events and First Fridays.

Romain Monnoyeur

Romain is the Executive Chef of our restaurant, Westport Cafe. He is involved in food events at 2016 and also serves as the Art Curator of the space.

Westport Cafe

2016

We moved to the US from France to take over Westport Cafe, a French bistro dedicated to offering modern French cuisine and craft cocktails in a Parisian-style setting.

Sidecar

2017

After realizing we could export our craft cocktails to large parties, we decided to create Sidecar, a craft catering company specializing in craft cocktails made with fresh juices and housemade syrup. Sidecar also offers private cocktail classes for individuals and corporations!

2016 Main Event Space

2023

While searching for a home for our growing Sidecar business, we unexpectedly stumbled upon 2016 Main. It was during a visit to this intriguing location that we met the previous owner of the 2016 Main event space. Our conversations were inspiring, and we quickly saw the potential in the space. After much consideration and excitement, we decided to take the leap and acquire our own event venue. Our vision for 2016 Main extends beyond a simple event space. We aim to create a dynamic environment that serves as an art gallery and a versatile event space for creative and unique events. From hosting art exhibitions to memorable parties, 2016 Main is designed to be a hub of creativity and community.

Kansas City is our home, and we couldn't be more excited about what's coming in one of the most dynamic cities in the Midwest! Although we are French, we feel like we have been adopted by this wonderful city. We are thrilled to announce that we will be undertaking more projects, bringing our unique blend of creativity and passion to new places in town!
